Current Vacancies:There are three (3) vacancies with the Honolulu Liquor Commission. May work day or night shift, weekends and possibly holidays. General work hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. or Monday to Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., however, shift hours may vary. There may be overtime required.
Substitution: An associate's degree or a bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited college or university with a major in Criminal Justice (or closely-related major field) will substitute for the required two (2) years of inspectional or investigative work experience relating to the enforcement of laws, ordinances, and/or rules and regulations.
Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.
Verification Requirement: You must submit evidence of your Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in order to be given credit for the substitution. Please attach an electronic copy of your diploma and/or official transcript which shows the embossed seal or applicable FCE to your application.
